We recommend using Weiman Glass Cooktop cleaner and Scotch Brite No-Scratch sponges - which are usually blue in color. That's what we used. The surface should be cleaned using only non-abrasive liquids to prevent damage and scratches.
The stainless steel sink should be relatively maintenance free. Please avoid putting food scraps down the disposal. This includes but is not limited to coffee grounds, fruit/vegetable peels, bones, nuts/seeds/pits, egg shells, paint, etc.
Please use only nonabrasive liquid bathroom cleaners. Scrubbing Bubbles foam has been found to work well and will not mar or dull the surface.
The main level has Alloc brand laminate flooring. Bona is a well regarded cleaner but we have also found a damp paper towel adequate for most cleaning. Mopping is not recommended and cleaners with soap and solvents can harm the wax seals and cause the floor to swell irreparably.
The HOA is very particular about the deck area outside the kitchen. We advise against hanging things off the railings and screwing things into the wall and railings. The HOA will assess a fine. BBQ's are ok.
This home has a wood burning fireplace. It is wonderful to have a real fire! However, California has spare-the-air days when wood and fuel log burning is prohibited. Please check before you burn. The State will fine abusers.
This unit has two air return registers feeding the roof-mounted heat pump. One requires a 16x16x1 filter and is located in the ceiling at the landing on the top floor. The second requires a 14x14x1 and is located in the wall on the main floor near the closet. They should be changed every 3-6 months. When installing, note the air flow direction usually printed on the side of the filter.
